Essence of Flames was a Hardmode crafting material sold by the Pandolar Trader after Abaddon, the Source of the Affliction had been defeated and the message The earth turns hot displayed in chat.

It was needed to craft the Emblem of the Flame Razed Forest, which was used to spread the Flame Razed Forest.

It was removed in version 1.0.5 due to the Emblem of the Flame Razed Forest being removed.
