The Dread Lantern is a craftable Pre-Hardmode item used to summon The Flaming Pumpkin, or Nihilus if used near a Dread Obelisk. It can only be used during the night (Flaming Pumpkin only). Using it outside that condition will not cause the boss to spawn and not consume the item.
