Asthraltite Shards were a post-Moon Lord crafting material. It was dropped by eroded enemies, such as the Eroded Winged Furia, Eroded Lamia, Eroded Ichor Sticker, and the Eroded Corruptor.

Their sole purpose was to craft Challenge Medals.
