Cairo Crusader armor is a craftable Hardmode armor set crafted from Forbidden Fragments, Desert Quartz, Ancient Cloth, and Hallowed Bars. It takes a total of 3 Forbidden Fragments, 70 Desert Quartz, 10 Ancient Cloth, and 30 Hallowed Bars to craft the full suit.

It consists of a Cairo Crusader Turban, Cairo Crusader Robe, and Cairo Crusader Faulds.

The Cairo Crusader Turban gives 8 defense, 17% increased thrown damage, and 15% increased thrown critical strike chance; the Cairo Crusader Robe gives 15 defense, 22% increased thrown damage, and 25% increased thrown velocity; and the Cairo Crusader Faulds gives 12 defense, 10% increased thrown damage, and 20% increased movement speed.

A full set provides a total of 35 defense, 49% increased thrown damage, 15% increased thrown critical strike chance, 25% increased thrown velocity, and 20% increased movement speed. The set bonus gives a 33% chance not to consume thrown items.

It additionally summons the minion Eternal Oasis, which follows the player similar to the Stardust Guardian. Each of its attacks deals around 100 damage; unlike regular minions, this damage scales with thrown damage and can critically strike. It has two behaviours, which can be toggled by double tapping the ▼ Down key:

• While it is passive, it attacks only when the player uses an item. If the player uses a weapon without a projectile, it will rapidly punch the area in front of the player; otherwise it will throw sand daggers at the cursor's position.
• While it is active, it rapidly fires sand daggers at nearby enemies. If an enemy is within a 16-tile radius from the player, Eternal Oasis will instead charge toward the enemy and rapidly punch them. It will not attack if the enemy is behind tiles.

• In its passive state, Eternal Oasis will only use its punch attack when the player uses weapons without projectiles; when they use anything else, including tiles or utility items, it will throw daggers.
