Armor of the Unrelenting Rival is a post-Moon Lord armor set that is an upgrade to the Solar Flare armor. it requires an entire Solar Flare armor set along with 70 Luminous Energies and 30 Tiridium Bars to craft the complete set.

It consists of a Helm of the Unrelenting Rival, Plate of the Unrelenting Rival, and Greaves of the Unrelenting Rival.

The Helm of the Unrelenting Rival gives 35 defense, 13% increased melee damage, and 25% increased melee speed; the Plate of the Unrelenting Rival gives 45 defense, 20% increased melee damage, 20% increased melee critical strike chance, 8% increased regeneration, and maximum health is increased by 100; and the Greaves of the Unrelenting Rival gives 17% increased melee damage, and 55% increased movement speed.

A full set provides a total of 110 defense, 50% increased melee damage, 26% increased melee critical strike chance, increased life regeneration by 8%, increased max health by 100 and 55% increased movement speed. For every five seconds of standing still, the player charges up energy and shines with solar particles when it generates a shield that increases damage reduction by 25%. This can be stacked 4 times maximum. Getting hit by enemies or when the player is moving will reset the ability.
