True Mode content: This information applies only to True Mode and True Mode worlds.

Superarmor and Hyperarmor are True Mode exclusive mechanics that grants bosses and some enemies temporary defensive bonuses.

Superarmor

Superarmor is the weakest of the two. When applied, it grants 40% damage reduction and, if applied to a normal enemy, knockback immunity. It also gives an Aggression multiplier of 2x. Enemies affected by Superarmor will have a flashing white and red outline.

Hyperarmor

Hyperarmor is the strongest of the two. When applied, it grants 60% damage reduction, immunity to all debuffs (including tag debuffs), and, if applied to a normal enemy, knockback immunity. It also gives an Aggression multiplier of 3x. Enemies affected by Hyperarmor will have a flashing white and purple outline.
