The Greatlance of Terra is a Hardmode throwing weapon. When the thrown lance comes in contact with a surface, the lance dissipates and forms 2 projectiles that travel at random directions and velocities. The projectiles ricochet off surfaces multiple times, split on enemy hits and disappear after a while.
The lance can later be upgraded to the Cosmic Desolation, a throwing weapon that acts similarly to the Greatlance of Terra, but with projectiles that are fired during the throw as well.

Notes
- Due to its random ricocheting projectiles, the weapon is exceptionally good in enclosed areas, especially with its fast use time.
History
- 1.1.1.4: Projectiles now split on enemy hits.
- 1.1.1: Projectiles no longer home.
- 1.1: Nerfed the damage from 140 to 90, reduced the number of beams from 3 to 2 per javelin and the lifetime of the beams as well.
