The Rogue Wave is a craftable post-Moon Lord kinetic lance that is a direct upgrade to the Riptide. After charging the throw, it throws a lance that sends down lightning bolts when hitting tiles and that bounces off enemies. If released during its perfect strike window, it creates a lightning zone around itself shortly after being embedded into its target and can now embed itself inside enemies.
If recovered manually, the player spins the lance around themselves, crating a whirlpool. If the whirlpool hits an enemy, the spear will then make a flurry of hits. The afformentionned lightning zone will follow the lance should it be recovered while active.
