The Oath of Apostasy is a Post-Moon Lord sword that swings in a large arc towards the cursor.
Hitting an enemy with it creates an additional projection slash that effectively doubles the player's range with a small delay. Killing an enemy grants five seconds of "Power Preservation", which causes the projection blades to appear without needing to hit an enemy. This buff cannot go above 20 seconds.
Pressing the Alt Melee key will consume five seconds of Power Preservation and will create a spinning blade projectile thrown towards the cursor that detonates enemies inflicted with Draconic Blaze
If held while parrying using the Asthraltite armor's set bonus, it will give 10 seconds of Power Preservation. In the case of a perfect parry, it will also replace the player's next Alt Melee attack with a Dark Breaker lunge.
Its best modifier is Legendary.
