The Pale Ruin is a craftable post-Moon Lord Relic magic weapon that is a direct upgrade to the Prism Break. After a five seconds charging time, it fires a huge beam that pierces enemies and creates damaging roots on impact with tiles.
Enemies killed by this weapon have a small chance of leaveing behind a Node of Splendor. These nodes have 50000 health and can only be damaged while in their aura. They take more damage from magic and relic weapons, with the exception of the Pale Ruin, to which they are immune to. On destruction, a shockwave that harms enemies is created and Flux of Light is given for 20 seconds to anyone within the shockwave. Flux of Light gives 10% damage reduction and reduces mana cost by 15%
Its best modifier is Mythical

Trivia
This weapon is a reference to the Traveler's terraforming beam of light used in the opening cutscene of Destiny 2: Lightfall, as well as the aesthetics of the Root of Nightmares raid of the same expansion.
