The Grasp of the Ancients is a craftable post-Moon Lord whip. Like other whips, it causes minions and sentries to focus on the last-struck enemy.
If the Grasp of the Ancients hits multiple targets in a single attack, the damage dealt by each consecutive hit will be reduced by 33%.
The Grasp of the Ancients also inflicts Draconic Blaze and marks enemies with Brand of Detestation.
Enemies marked by Brand of Detestation will create a Draconic Rune when killed by minions, up to a maximum of 5 Runes. These runes can be hit with the Grasp of the Ancients, which will cause them to explode, igniting nearby enemies inflicted with Draconic Blaze. Enemies killed by that ignition also explode.
If this weapon is held while parrying using the Asthraltite armor's set bonus ability, the next hit made by this weapon will create a Draconic Rune. In the case of a perfect parry, it will also make all nearby runes's explosion stronger.
It's best Modifier is Legendary.
